About Us
Welcome! The Philadelphia Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers invites you to learn more about us, find a professional appraiser, become a member or attend our events and seminars.
Leading Appraisal Organization
The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) is the nation’s oldest and largest interdisciplinary appraisal organization. Founded in 1936, the ASA includes specialists in all types of tangible and intangible property, both real and personal.
Serve the General Public
The Philadelphia Chapter (Chapter 35) of the American Society of Appraisers represents accredited ASA members serving the greater Philadelphia region spanning Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware region. Are you looking for an appraiser? You can find an appraiser locally or nationally among our membership.
Do you have questions or need a recommendation? We hope that this website can help you answer questions or perhaps find a professional to help in a wide variety of specialties including the disciplines of Business Valuation, Gems and Jewelry, Machinery and Technical Specialties, Personal Property and Real Property (Real Estate). Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Support our Members
Here at the Philadelphia Chapter, we organize activities and educational opportunities to ensure that our members can build their networks and stay on the cutting edge of the profession. We have roughly half a dozen general meetings each year and also provide an array of ongoing educational opportunities. Keep abreast by reviewing what’s on the calendar and register at the event registration page.
Create Opportunities
We invite students who are interested in learning about the profession to attend our events. If you are a student in college, you may become a member of the ASA free of charge and attend events for no charge, capacity permitting (please register). In addition, we offer Ally Memberships for State Certified Real Estate Appraisers and other appraisers who would like to become more involved.
Give Back
Each year we support a variety of charities in our community. In recent years, we have supported Cradles to Crayons in Philadelphia. The National ASA also has limited scholarships to support those interested in advancing in the profession through the ASA Educational Foundation.
