Kent Amarante is part of the VRC tangible assets valuation group & specializes in valuations of machinery & equipment & real property assets. He has extensive experience in the valuation of electric generation facilities (coal, nuclear, natural gas, & waste-to-energy), aggregate quarries (hard rock & sand), & commercial real properties (hotels, multi-family housing, industrial, & retail). Prior to joining VRC, Mr. Amarante held the position of manager with Appraisal Economics, Inc., where he managed & ran the company’s tangible assets valuation group. Prior to Appraisal Economics, he was a senior consultant with Federal Appraisal & Consulting in Whitehouse Station, NJ. He began his career at American Appraisal Associates in Princeton. He is an accredited senior appraiser (ASA) & a certified general real estate appraiser in New Jersey. In addition, he is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). He received a bachelor’s degree in economics & political science from Rutgers University.
