TOM GOTTFRIED, Esq.
Mr. Gottfried specializes in business enterprise, credit/debt instruments, equity, intangible asset and portfolio valuations related to corporate reorganizations, mergers & acquisitions and restructurings. Mr. Gottfried has worked with closely held businesses and Fortune 500 companies across various industries including biotechnology, consumer products, financial services, fintech, insurance, life sciences, and technology. He performed valuation analyses for companies all across the globe in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. He assisted clients with valuations for deals and restructurings ranging from $10 million to $60 billion. Prior to joining VRC, he held leadership positions in Ernst & Young’s Strategy & Transactions team. He began his career in debt capital markets at BNP Paribas and also worked at Baker & McKenzie, Dentons (Salans) and KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services team. Mr. Gottfried holds a master of business administration degree in accounting, analytic finance, economics, entrepreneurship and strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a master of laws degree in taxation from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. He is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
